Yashasvi Jaiswal , born on December 28, 2001, is a rising star in Indian cricket, representing the national team and Mumbai in domestic cricket, along with the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL). His international debut in July 2023 against the West Indies saw him make an impactful start, scoring a century in his maiden Test innings. Hailing from Suriyawan , Bhadohi , Uttar Pradesh, Yashasvi was born as the fourth child among six siblings to Bhupendra Jaiswal , a small hardware store owner, and Kanchan Jaiswal , a homemaker. His cricketing journey took a significant turn at the age of ten when he moved to Mumbai to pursue cricket training at Azad Maidan . Despite facing hardships, including living in a tent and selling panipuri to sustain himself, his dedication and talent were soon recognized by Jwala Singh, who provided him with accommodation and becam e his legal guardian.
